Shortly after the business idea for the startup was born, our CEOs Soraya Braun and Lorenz Beimler decide to found CAPTIQ. By the way, CAPTIQ is a portmanteau of Capital & IQ.

Nothing is more important to us than the satisfaction of our customers. In doing so, we also want to constantly improve and develop ourselves and our first product to create the best possible user experience and prove that financing can also be simple and transparent.
Through the intergenerational contract that we create with our innovative credit value chain, we bring all market participants together in a value-creating way. Ultimately, our cooperations are based above all on long-term relationships, trust, and joint development in order to grow together.
How an idea became CAPTIQ:
The idea for CAPTIQ arose during the studies of our managing directors. As part of a research project, they were investigating lending platforms, which were still relatively new at the time. By chance, a related pediatrician reported massive difficulties with start-up financing at the time. The loan amount of 100,000€ was not economically attractive enough for the house bank, and the application processing also dragged on for several weeks.
Quickly our founders realized that about 90% of all regulated professionals cannot be served adequately for their qualification. Especially loans up to 250.000€ posed difficulties, because they are hardly profitable for the banks. A suitable alternative financing, which meets our time, did not exist.
For these economically and socially extremely important professional groups, our founders Soraya Braun & Lorenz Beimler have set up something special. From the beginning, the project was a matter of the heart with the will to give something back.
May 2019
CAPTIQ has successfully completed its first round of financing. A total of 15 business angels and professional investment companies - the majority from the financial sector - have provided the company with seed capital of over half a million euros.
October 2019
CAPTIQ has convinced another financing specialist with its business model: the US-based ZAIS Group has committed to the Frankfurt-based fintech start-up as its largest external investor as part of a capital increase.
March 2020
To refinance the loans, CAPTIQ structured a bond and became the first lending platform in Europe to receive an investment grade rating. This generated a new, low-risk asset class 'chamber professionals' in the market, in which risk-averse institutional investors (such as pension funds) can invest.
September 2020
CAPTIQ has successfully completed its third round of financing, receiving a seven-figure capital increase. Thus, CAPTIQ is well prepared for the further development of the product and the preparations for the market launch. In parallel, the startup has started the placement of its first bond for the refinancing of low-volume loans.
August 2021
CAPTIQ has signed a cooperation agreement with Solaris, Europe's leading banking-as-a-service platform. Solaris will act as the lending bank in the offering of the lending platform for chamber professionals developed by CAPTIQ and adds another automated process to our credit value chain.
September 2021
The set goals were achieved! CAPTIQ was able to place its bond with the renowned capital management company BayernInvest, so nothing stood in the way of the first loan. Our digital lending platform entered the pilot phase with our cooperation partners. The first CAPTIQ loan was smoothly disbursed to a doctor within 2 days of application.
November 2021
CAPTIQ has successfully completed another investment round. Led by sino Beteiligungen GmbH, a total of €2.6 million in fresh capital was raised. Through the first successful cooperations with broker pools and the granting of the first loans, a product-side proof-of-concept could be provided in the pilot phase. The fresh capital is to be used for the further development of the business model.
2022
Overall, 2022 was a successful year for CAPTIQ, marked by strong growth and a successful business strategy.
Among other things, important partnerships were forged to make the CAPTIQ Premium Loan available to a wider audience of chamber professionals.
2023
Today, CAPTIQ has already been able to facilitate a wide variety of financing projects for chamber professionals. Among them were business start-ups, takeovers, debt restructuring and many other different purposes. Our premium loan has so far been able to convince many different chamber professionals as a fast, flexible and contemporary solution.
August 2023
Through the cooperation with Anadi Bank, we can now offer our customers improved credit offers. Like us, Anadi Bank attaches great importance to customer value, digitalization and fair conditions. Thus, this partnership enables us to offer loans with even more attractive conditions.
